Hawaii Dice Game - Laki
Invented on the Big Island of Hawaii
Laki is a fast paced dice game that is fun for one and all.* With education and ecology in mind, Laki was created as an entertaining way to encourage learning about the unique animals, culture, vocabulary, customs, environment and ecology of Hawaii.
The aumakua of Hawaii are revered as protectors and harbingers of good luck. Summon the aumakua of the sea to aid your victory. Have them on your side and you could roll your way to an exciting win.
Watch out for the disasters though, if you run into a tsunami or lava flow, your turn is over.
*Small pieces present a choking hazard to small children, please supervise keiki under 4.
In Hawaiian, Laki means Lucky and we who live here in Hawaii consider ourselves ever so fortunate to grow in such natural beauty. Few places in the world offer quite the array of unique flora and fauna. Unfortunately, the wildlife featured in Laki are in one way or another being threatened or are vulnerable to extinction. We hope that by education and positive action, all the creatures in the world can exist in perpetuity now and for future generations. In this light, a portion of the profits from this game will be donated to conservation efforts not only in Hawaii, but throughout the earth.
Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii!
